Everything's changing, we gotta move on.

Alright story, what's the folks?

and that's a still from Were The World Mine.

kinda wanted to do this on facebook/twitter but realized that it might not be possible due to the amount of gushing i'm prolly gonna do.

but seriously. the movie's really good. a little old, maybe, since it came out in 2008. but doesn't matter since practically no one in singapore has probably heard of it. it won a bunch of awards at different film festivals and stuff, but that's not really important as well.

remember high school musical and how manufactured it was? well, to be honest, this movie was kinda like that too. but so much better. the singing's definitely better, for once (the lead actor actually has a band and i'm listening to the music now on myspace, and HELLO NEW BAND THAT I LIKE AND CAN'T FIND THE CD FOR). and the story line's really different.

and umm. gay. though probably this won't be a deterrent to my friends (and if it is IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU ok nvm). so basically the story's about this openly gay guy in high school who kinda gets bullied by others (but he's REAL TALL and quite fit so i don't quite get it) and his teacher (who is totally weird in the omg-did-she-just-step-out-of-some-fairytale way) encourages him to participates in the senior spring play or something like that. and then the guy the gay guy likes (this is the only reason why i hate describing gay guys. it's all he and he and he. bloody pronouns) hears and sees him auditions and apparently auditions as well (together with the whole rugby team. did i mention the straight guy is from the rugby team?) then blah blah blah and gay guy creates some potion that can make people fall in love with the first person they see. and off he goes!

i was kinda upset that the film wasn't going to end the way i wanted it to (FINE I CRIED) but the ending was welcomed. and the girl (the gay guy's best friend) is very very pretty. robin william's daughter, in fact.

the budget for the movie wasn't very big, and you kinda could see where they scrimped on. and the start of the movie was kinda draggy, but later on i didn't really want it to end.

and hi new actor crush but no possible way to fangirl because this is his first feature film. yes i'm talking about you nathaniel david becker. seriously. google his name. pathetic results. although i must admit tanner cohen isn't bad (the lead actor). not that it's easy to fangirl him too. his band isn't even on wiki. and typing "the guts" into google kinda give you the results that you don't really want.

and extremely long and rambling and weird post here because it's the middle of the night, i'm not studying, and i should be sleeping.

psst. i might get the dvd. :)
