me carmen jing and pau were talking on msn last night, and for some reason, carmen's and my conversation turned to magic. namely, harry potter magic.

if you've stayed awake all the way to six bloody am in the morning and have to do some crap shit at 9 or 10, forget about going to sleep. it only makes you even more tired.

seriously. if you're going to stay up all night, stay UP all the time. i've tried both methods before, and i function a lot better if i didn't go to bed in the morning for a few hours of sleep.

and fuck i just ate a mouthful of coffee powder. the 3-in-1 kind. yucks.

some chocolate-covered coffee beans would be awesome.

is that really true?

maybe not if you're returning from some paradise on earth, but if you're coming back from a place with smelly toilets, frequently occurring power shortages, infestation of mosquitoes, flies and god knows what, you'll definitely be glad to come back.

not that tioman was that bad. all three things mentioned did happened, but again it wasn't that bad a trip. we went snorkeling, which was pretty disgusting with all the fish swimming towards you and stuff like that. but still interesting. we saw some sea urchins, and i thought of FOOD. omg the japanese have corrupted me. i was pretty freaked out with the sea urchins. and the fishes. we went fishing too. i totally fail at fishing. i only caught like two fishes. and it was boring. and smelly. we made friends with some of the locals there, and they were telling us stuff like the waterfalls and i can't remember what. i nearly lost my slippers into the waterfall, but again, i might find it back at the resort, i realize only now.

there really isn't much to do in tioman, unless you're into scuba diving and snorkeling and fishing and sitting there doing nothing. really. time passes pretty slowly there, and things never happen on time. i think my friends just realized how i just can't sit still. i have to be doing something, or moving around all the time. though that doesn't usually happen in singapore, strange to say. it must be the air.

despite having nothing to do, ongying managed to take a lot of photos. and we took some photos while snorkeling too. we'll see how those photos turn out.

oh my fucking god tioman TOMORROW.

finally. a break for the hustle and bustle of city life. and i bet we're gonna come back with TONS of photos. :)



and my car's finally driving at 10.0km/litre. now to find a way to increase the distance per litre or maintain it.

and for people with ipod touch. i'm not sure if this would actually work in singapore, but you can try. make sure you understand every step though. and that you have all items needed on hand. and CHECK the sites provided like the sip-voip thing to see if they state that they only work in the US or what. don't blame me if anything goes wrong.

i'm going to mark today somewhere. not because it's america's independence day (who gives a crap about that) but because i ate my first large amount of bittergourd today.

surprisingly, it wasn't THAT bad. but maybe because it was cooked til mushy and chopped into tiny bits and that i actually LIKE bittergourd soup... but yeah. i wouldn't complain so much about eating bittergourd if each bittergourd thingy was cooked like that.

and i can't believe i threw sixty bucks onto a tshirt. FANS. they get bands EVERYWHERE.


HELL YEAH! tioman in a week's time. gotta start charging the batteries for the camera. :) and figure out where the hell i put the tripod.
