8th May (continued)
walking through the streets of prague you realize how touristy the place is, with the numerous rides and trips around the city like:
this car
and the horse carriages
and here's the astronomical clock which rings every hour, with a rooster coming out, and death pulling the bell, and a bunch of other stuff which i didn't notice. :) the tower has at least two different clocks on it, one showing the analog time, and another showing the earth's position in the solar system? not really sure about that.
and here's the old town square
and the outsides and insides of a few churches...
and the prague castle in the distance, which we travelled to the next day.
the museum of medieval torture. the people in the past really damn free to think up of such ways to torture people. saw how the actual stocks looked like (hi merlin people you got the stocks wrong stocks are for the feet not head and hands). we signed the guestbook there, so let's see if it's still there the next time one of us ever comes here again.
the charles bridge (which apparently has damn good scenery or something on it).
and that's the end of the day. we spent this day mostly walking about and admiring the sights, not that i'm much of an admirer. i think i prefer my holidays to be doing something, rather than just looking at the pretty. although the pretty is very pretty. yay.
interestingly enough, i'm keeping much better sleeping hours in europe than back in singapore. due to us having no interest in pubs and clubs, we fall asleep at like ten plus and wake up the next day at about 8 or 9. see ongying? i'm sleeping properly.
