Everything's changing, we gotta move on.

Alright story, what's the folks?

5.10.08

riiight. i caught the lifehouse concert, and they were gooooood.

the only bad thing (maybe not only. there were two bad things.) was that the venue sucked. anyone's been to st james powerhouse? yeah it was held there. the bar in the center did not really help much.

and there were a bunch of really tall guys right in front of us. one guy was so tall if he stood up straight i could barely look over his shoulders. i think he heard us complaining (and a bunch of others complaining as well) so he spent most of the concert slouched. lol. for a while i was wondering why the hell was i looking so comfortably over his shoulder. choy took a picture of our view at the start of the concert, when the guy was standing straight. we saw nothing but the shirt of the guy.

then when the concert started, i could see the stage part of the time. the other parts were spent looking at spiky hair (omg the spikes were all over the place obscuring my vision), camera screens (the view was so much better from there lol) and tip-toeing. sometimes i caught the stage through gaps between the necks of the crowd (yes i'm THAT short). it wasn't very comfortable. reminds me of why i like to go to concert venues early and queue.

but the music was seriously good. $70 was totally worth it. and the band responded to calls for encore (i happily contributed to the calls). i do hope that they come back again.

hearing them all over again (i haven't played my lifehouse cds in ages) makes me think that they're quite similar to augustana (a recent addition to my collection). if augustana comes down i'll prolly get tickets too.

now if only jason mraz would come back every year. (let's not talk about rock bands)

btw, did i mention that the band members were in a bus and they drove past the queue? like a few inches away? lol. talk about getting up close and personal.
